Students under 18 must have their parent or legal guardian sign. Information on each of the different classes we offer can be found below.

We presently offer classes in Kungfu as well as Taiji and Qigong. All classes are taught in-person in Santa Cruz, CA.


Kungfu

Our kungfu classes focus on establishing a strong foundation in flexibility, strength, and coordination. We begin each class with a warmup and long stretch before beginning basic training in Wudang Northern Longfist foundation drills which emphasize low stances, high kicks, and quick reflexes. We then move into forms training and finish the class with conditioning and partner drills. Classes are dynamic and fast-paced, but easy to acclimate to for beginners. Appropriate for students age 14+. 

Taiji & Qigong

Our taiji and qigong classes generally begin with a light warm up before settling into embodiment-based standing meditation practices. Relaxing into the stillness of the body, the monkey mind calms and settles and the intelligence and subtle perception necessary for inner work begins. We then gently move into a variety of qigong practices which shift through the seasons. Practitioners then begin basic movement practices and Taiji forms training. Appropriate for students age 16+.
